THE ANSWER FOR OUR FAITH

Cultivating the fruit of the Spirit

According to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, we have been given faith as a mustard seed to cast mountains into the sea. But what many people do not understand is that a seed is not going to command a mountain to do anything. It is the fruit of that seed that commands a mountain to be moved into the sea.

Unlike the gifts of the spirit that are given in manifestation and in full view, the fruit of the spirit is given in seed and must be cultivated underground. So how do you cultivate the fruit of the spirit and how is the seed to be sown? Read the following to become mountain movers:

1.    Love best grows in the sand.
2.    Joy best grows under cloud cover.
3.    Peace best grows in the changing of seasons.
4.    Longsuffering best grows in the heat of the day.
5.    Kindness best grows caring for the struggling plants.
6.    Goodness best grows in sowing into your neighbor’s garden.
7.    Faithfulness best grows late at night every night.
8.    Gentleness best grows in the weeding.
9.    Self-control best grows planting a garden and not running to the supermarket to reap from some one else’s garden

Sow your seed today and move a mountain tomorrow!

Scripture

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:22-25 KJV

Scripture

but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; - 1 Peter 3:15 KJV

Scripture

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. - Matthew 10:26-28 KJV
